Well, according to several national news outlets, Mr. Whitton and Mr. Dyer's press conference wasn't particularly illuminating. The best tidbit I was able to get out of it was the the DNA analysis indicated a curious mix of human and possum DNA.

Bigfoot is a marsupial?

A couple of things I'm wondering about from reading their web press briefing.

First, they saw a group of these, apparently alive, when they found the body now in the freezer. Did these guys fortuitously interrupt a "Bigfoot" burial ceremony? Or was this a formerly alive Bigfoot that they plugged between the eyes? Something seems kind of wrong about that to me.

Second, "DNA evidence ... to be provided." Excuse me, "DNA evidence?" Eric S. and the readers of this blog may not know it, but I am a trained Scientist, and work with DNA every day. I'm curious as to what kind of DNA evidence Mr. Whitton and Mr. Dyer are generating in their garage forensics lab, after finding Bigfoot just last weekend. A few to many times watching X-Files, I think.

Third, searchingforbigfoot.com says the press conference on Friday "will only be open to credentialed members of the press." Does this include bloggers?
