There’s a killer on the sidewalk, whose mind may or may not be squirming like an amphibian that rhymes with ‘sidewalk’
It seems somebody in Jersey City, in the vicinity of the Paulus Hook post office, is trying to send the local pigeon population a message:
Who? Who would do something like this, taking the time to not only kill and dismember a bird, but to arrange it so calculatedly? On a sidewalk in one of the posher parts of Jersey City? A new top predator in the urban wildlife foodchain? A werekitten?? A heretofore unknown species of Chiupacabra?!??
It boggles.

Well, if one of my bosses wants me to spend more time reading the internet at work, who am I to argue?

Wow – maybe it’s that rough & tough raccoon i saw a couple years back on your street. Or maybe its that pack of Hyena/Dingo/Corgi cross breeds I saw pulling down a struggling Emu in Hamilton Park last summer. They’re indigenous to the Paulis Hook section of town ya know. Options considered, I’m hoping for a werekitten.

Strange? Maybe?. Having snacked on a few JC air chickens (Full moon thing), my educated guess would be a two step process involving a hungry human and a artistic human. Symmetrical beings tend to favor symmetry.
OR- being outside the P.O., it may have been an insane attempt at thwarting postage fees?
Probably would have seen some scotch tape leavings though.
Finally- is it the P.O. mascot eagle eliminating all competition and sending a message?
Although not an amphibian- Squirming like an ewok?
Late entry- Wet sidewalk cement?
Not feeling especially humorous today but I gave it a go.

Gruesome, but I have to admit, beautifully composed.
